SHOGUN King of SKATE

This was an event we did on Sept. 20th for our friend John's new shop SHOGUN in Trenton NJ.
It was a gorgeous day and although the turnout was about 20 kids (2 other major events in Philadelphia the same day) we had a lot of fun and some great Game of SKATE skating went down!
John is all about the kids and while everyone was warming up he cranked up the grill and grilled up some hot dogs and had his little ones put out some chips and drinks for everyone to enjoy.
In the end John handed out a few decks, T Shirts and other goodies he either got from sponsors or took from his shelves.
JJ and I got in the action as we played a Game of SKATE of our own, Freestyle rules! Kids are always asking us to play Games of SKATE with them so this time we figured why not! JJ and I played our version with JJ edging me by a letter! I had him to but thats how it goes sometimes! So JJ played the winner of the competition, doing only "street" tricks so without his bag of Freestyle tricks the stage was set. The game went back and forth a few times but JJ ended up winning that round as well. It was all in good fun and everyone who came got a little something for coming out.

Skatetacular Notes

Was exactly that Skatetacular!

NEPA was able to raise some much needed funds ($1,500) for the park, the bands rocked and we all got in a good session in Ashley PA!

Also thanks to the skaters for coming out to support the event as well as their support of One Skateboard Co..

Reid Menzer Event went great!

There was about 200+ kids skating at the park, bands playing all day, raffles as well 5 different Jam style events! In addition we premiered our new improved P-Tip Decks to which we got a great response as well as picking up several new retailers of One Skateboards including Xcel Board Shop MD, Vu Skate Shop MD, The Shoppe Revival PA and a few others expressed interest as well.

All in all a great day at a great park!

Special thanks for everyone at Reid Menzer for having us come down and for their hard work on getting this great park built. Wherever Reid is I am sure he is smiling!
