The Jam Series 08: Charm City MD

Just got back from the Charm City Skate Park, after a great day of skating and creating with some old friends and some new ones! This was my first time back to Charm City Skate Park since the Beast of the East tours (4 yrs. ago) and although some of the faces and obstacles have changed it still has the same old "Charm"! Although I have not been to the park in sometime I am always running into the people from Charm on my travels and seeing how they develop over the years has been a cool thing to see.
Thanks to Jason, Aubry and the rest of the Charm crew for having us, Dakota Welty for helping judge and to all the families who came out to support their kids skateboarding! Jason taped the whole thing so I am sure you will see the footage soon enough, again some great skating went down and everyone was psyched! Our next stop is June 7th Academy Skate Park CT see you there!

Freestyle Demo: June 21st NY H.I.N.

JJ and AJ just got booked for Night Shift June 21st in NY.

This is apart of Hot Import nights and for those not familiar think of the movie "The Fast and the Furious"
Tricked out cars, DJ's, Music acts, Freestyle MX, Break Dancing, Car Drifting demos, hot girls and now Freestyle Skateboarding!
This is a trial run to see how the people re-act to skateboarding at this event, if it goes well this could end up becoming a full blown tour for next season, which would include and Action Sports area.

If anyone can do demos that get a crowd hyped(10K-15K will be attending), wanting more and on a limited budget its these two. They will however be joined by a few of their friends TBA later and will have a 60x60 foot area to do their thing in!

Big ups to Rick for calling us and getting it dialed in, as well as to AJ and JJ for holding it down for Freestyle and showing everyone that its not dead and better then ever!

The Jam Series:Skate 57 NJ, Stop #1

What a great day of fun! The Jam Skate and Create Series 08 has officially started and we are already looking forward to our next event at Charm City Skate Park Sunday May 25th! It was a gorgeous day outside but the skaters still found there way to the park and skate in the competition. We started with the Flatland Jam which saw all forms, styles and skill levels all skating together and getting in a great session, when the dust settled Jesse Whalen and his modern Freestyle approach took top honors with a smooth and creative style! After a short break we started the Street competition. The finals Jam was again a good mix of styles and abilities all skating and supporting one another. Matt Henry and Greg Pachell from One entered just to have fun and keep the session fun / creative and had some great lines! Top Honors in the went to John Gardner who floated over big kicker boxes, kick-fliped into the Euro- gap and overall through down some of the most consistent and entertaining lines of the day. Top Honors in the GROM went to Kevin Jordan to which I know you will see more of in the future! Special shout out to the 3 ladies who entered the competitions Katie (Open) and Mariah/Alex (GROM) who showed that girls can hold it down as well! Last but not least the Best Trick, we decided to let the 10 skaters use the entire course and call out the tricks and allow the crowd to decide. It would have been tough to judge so we let the crowd /peer response tell us who would get top honors. In the end it was Nick Rosalis who threw down a picture perfect 360 flip down the big steep set as well as a boat load of tricks up the Euro Gap as well! Flatland Jam Open: Top 3 1) Jesse Whalen 2) Will Gillucci 3)Tyler Robowitz Open Street Results:Top 3 1) John Gardner 2) Guy Wolkowitz 3) Kevin Bird GROM Street Results:Top 3 1)Kevin Jordan 2)Alex Arch 3)Mariah Rogers Best Trick: Nick Rosalis -360 Flip down the big stair set
